01 / THE PROBLEM

Fragmented information creates recurring work.

THE REPEATED COST

The same company. Researched again.

Every brief restarts source discovery, identity checks and freshness reviews. Time is spent; context is easily lost.

THE SHIFT

Verify. Maintain. Reuse.

Retain company identities, source evidence and changes in one knowledge base. The next research task starts with existing work.

02 / THE SYSTEM

Turn scattered signals into company records.

AI assists extraction. Source strategy, identity resolution and evidence management make the resulting data reusable.

ENTITY RESOLUTION / PROVENANCE

Three sources. One company identity.

Keep the source behind the finding. A new observation can update the record while preserving the context needed to review it.

03 / THE ECONOMICS

Value comes from reuse, coverage and time.

01

Research capacity

Less repeated discovery and checking creates capacity for qualification and analysis.

02

Commercial opportunity

A broader company universe can reveal additional prospects and sourcing options.

03

Information freshness

Monitoring helps teams spot changes and decide which records need renewed attention.

The bottleneck: research that has to start again

Which companies belong in a target market? Which suppliers merit a closer look? What has changed across a set of competitors or potential partners? These decisions depend on a consistent view of companies, assembled from information that rarely sits in one place.

Websites, directories, associations, events and public databases each provide part of the picture. Turning those fragments into useful intelligence requires more than finding a page: teams need to establish which company it describes, reconcile competing claims and determine whether the information is still current.

When that work is performed company by company, each new research brief can repeat the same discovery and verification effort. The strategic opportunity is to retain the evidence and company identity behind each finding, so subsequent research can build on an existing knowledge base.

The design: one continuous intelligence workflow

Behelitai designed an end-to-end solution to discover, analyze, validate and maintain company data across public sources. Its organizing principle is continuity: information moves from source discovery into structured company records, then remains available for search and change monitoring.

The workflow connects seven stages. Each addresses a distinct source of uncertainty, from deciding where to look to determining whether two records describe the same organization.

  • Discovery and prioritization identify relevant sources and guide crawl planning, bringing structure to the search for company information.
  • Crawling and AI-assisted extraction turn varied source material into structured data that can be compared and searched.
  • Validation, source-level evidence and confidence scoring provide a basis for assessing a finding rather than accepting an extracted statement at face value.
  • Entity resolution and duplicate detection connect records that refer to the same company, while conflict resolution addresses inconsistent information across sources.
  • Search and continuous change detection make the resulting knowledge base usable over time, with historical data providing context for subsequent updates.

The enduring asset is the evidence behind the answer

The LLM contributes to structured extraction. The broader system determines where information comes from, which company it belongs to, how conflicting evidence is handled and how the record changes over time. Those capabilities are central to making the output useful beyond a single research request.

Consider a company appearing on its own website, in an association directory and on an event page. Extracting three descriptions is only the first step. The intelligence task is to establish whether the records concern the same business, retain their sources and resolve differences without losing the underlying evidence.

As companies and sources are processed, the system can accumulate reusable company identities, source relationships and historical observations. That creates the basis for a richer data asset. Its value depends on the quality of resolution, validation and maintenance; adding more records alone does not make the intelligence more reliable.

Governance is part of the operating model

An expanding collection program needs controls over how data is accessed, retained and traced. Behelitai incorporated domain-level access policies, rate limiting and robots.txt handling into the architecture, alongside source traceability, audit trails and retention rules.

The design also supports differentiated treatment of company and personal data. Together, these capabilities make collection activity more controlled and reviewable, and give operators mechanisms to apply access and retention decisions throughout the workflow.

One data foundation, multiple commercial decisions

The business value lies in reusing a maintained view of companies across recurring decisions. The same foundation can support several workflows, each with a different question to answer.

  • Market mapping and lead generation: discover companies across sources and assemble a more consistent basis for segment research and prospect qualification.
  • Supplier discovery and partner research: bring candidate organizations into a searchable knowledge base, with source evidence available for further assessment.
  • Competitive intelligence and company monitoring: revisit known organizations, identify changes and place new findings alongside historical observations.

Measure usable intelligence, then measure its business contribution

A useful evaluation should begin with a defined workflow and a reviewed sample of company records. Relevant measures include time to produce a verified shortlist, duplicate and incorrect-merge rates, source coverage for important fields, and the freshness of records used in decisions. These are proposed evaluation criteria, rather than reported project results.

The longer-term opportunity is to make research cumulative: each validated company record becomes available to the next search, the next market assessment and the next monitoring cycle. That gives teams a repeatable way to develop company intelligence while directing human attention toward interpretation and commercial judgment.

Start with one market. Prove the economics.

Define a target company segment, a reviewed sample and an acceptance standard. Use that pilot to assess coverage, accuracy and research effort before expanding.
